ARE YOU AN ANGRY MAN…OR DO YOU KNOW ONE?
IS YOUR PERSONAL LIFE FALLING APART?
I’m The Anger Guy and I Can Help.
I have been counseling angry men (and teens) since 1994. My own experience
with anger began with scars from my father’s rage, then I developed ways of
thinking and reacting that I didn’t see until it was hurting my own life and
relationships.
He’s tried anger management classes and they didn’t seem to work. Why? Because most anger management classes don’t address the fundamental issues that fuel his anger.Personal experience and 15+ years specializing in counseling with angry men has taught me that he uses his anger like a shield…to protect and hide feelings of sadness, regret and fear of failure. And usually, he doesn’t even know it. But …
- HE CAN resolve his anger. I show him how.
- HE CAN change his distorted perceptions that lead to his feeling threatened.
- HE CAN disengage from those feelings that justify his anger.
- HE CAN accept ownership for his actions and behaviors.
- HE CAN create permanent change if he’s willing to face difficult truths about himself.
Doing this is hard…really hard.
But, be honest. If it was easy, you would have already done it, right?
This is the way to progress. And Freedom.
YOU CAN find yourself, develop self-respect and become the quality man you always wanted to be.
Maybe you’ve been dominated by the world around you all of your life, overreacting to people, places and things. Maybe you’ve been told all too often that you have an anger problem…
Sound familiar?
- YOU CAN develop a sense of self-control.
- You CAN come to love and respect yourself.
- YOU CAN shed the shame and self-hatred.
- YOU CAN end the isolation you feel.
- YOU CAN connect with people and feel like you belong.
- YOU CAN have deep and satisfying relationships.
- YOU CAN change and not feel so self-conscious.
- YOU CAN learn to trust and be trusted.
- YOU CAN love … and be loved.
- YOU CAN CHANGE YOUR LIFE.
I have the ability to trust myself … and then others. And I have healthy relationships these days.
Sure, I get angry–everyone does. But today I do so without blowing up. I no longer have to act just because I have angry feelings.
My life is good. I have self-respect and the respect of others.
I am genuine.
People smile when they see me and actually mean it.
My feelings are not determined by what happens, but instead by how I choose to deal with what happens.
IF you’re ready to accept that your way isn’t working, then I’m ready to help.
But you must be willing to change for yourself–first.
Then, and only then, can you become the husband, father, son, friend or colleague…the quality man you’ve always wanted to be.
Individual anger therapy requires real effort and determination. It is not a “class.” The work we do can be difficult, intense and upsetting. However, the rewards far outweigh the price we pay to turn our lives around.
The men I work with are courageous. They’re willing to do whatever it takes to facilitate positive change. Anger therapy addresses thoughts and feelings on which lives are built. I develop and integrate effective and positive counseling philosophies using several different approaches.
I help men help themselves become who they really want to be.
Many angry teens wage wars of rage. The decisions they make in their lives are usually influenced by this rage, and can be destructive, especially to themselves.
This is not a normal part of adolescence, and an adolescence trapped in rage feels helpless and misunderstood. I help angry teens who are ready to work for relief from the anger and pain that haunt them and drive their decisions.
I also work with parents whose adolescents are knee-deep in this struggle of anger/destructive decisions/high risk behavior. Learn the skills that will help you guide your teen through this difficult time safely. And save your sanity in the process!
Email or call for an appointment now, and let’s work together for a better life for you.
